You’ll notice that my last post is protected. That basically means it’s more personal (or whinier
) than my public posts normally are and I wouldn’t want just anyone who stumbles upon my blog to read it.

Filler
Hello! Don’t worry, I’m still alive. I didn’t get trampled by crazed fans at the concert or (unfortunately) run off with any of the musicians to live life on the road. Nope, I’m just finally sitting at home in front of my computer for the first time in several days.
I’m still a bit worn out from the crazy week I’ve had, so I won’t be writing much of substance yet. For now, I’ll just say that the concert was amazing. We definitely had some interesting — and sometimes scary — experiences, but all in all I had a great time. Both Muse and My Chemical Romance are incredible live. If you ever get the chance to see them, don’t pass it up!
I’ll be sure to catch up on all the blogs I visit soon! I’m looking forward to reading them. I hope you guys had a great week. I’ll be back with a longer, more interesting entry in the near future.
The Biggest (and Best) Lasagna
I know I said I wouldn’t be updating much, but…well, I am.
I spent the day at Adam’s, as usual, except this time his mom and Nikki were there from New York. Nikki slaved over the stove all day making The Biggest Lasagna I’ve Ever Seen. I’m not exaggerating, it was huge. She used two large boxes of noodles and it ended up being eight layers thick.
She also made the sauce herself, and she put pepperoni in it. It was amazing! Everyone in the house dug in, and we all sat in the living room enjoying the food and talking about anything and everything. The aroma of the lasagna even lured Andrew the Hermit out of his cave (He lives in a furnished room in the garage, separate from the rest of the house. He’s also a WoW addict. Thus, we don’t see him very often.).
There was tons left over, so I’ll probably be eating lasagna all week, heh.
I’m so excited about the concert, I can’t believe it’s only a day away! Nikki and I kept talking about how great it’s going to be, and she even got the set list off the internet. Adam didn’t want to see it because he says he wants to be surprised.
I’m also excited about the trip there, for some odd reason. I guess I just really enjoy road trips. I’ve gone on a couple with my sister before and they’ve always been a blast. Being able to just drive freely, hang out with people you’re close to, and see new sights is fun and refreshing. It gives you a chance to relish life for a while.
What’s not fun about road trips, though, is paying for gas…
It’s good to be back
I moved back to this blog from my site. I’m not too serious about web design right now. It’s just something I’m trying for fun, so I don’t want to make my blog — which I am serious about writing in and keeping up — an integral part of my site. Thus, I’ve decided to treat it as a separate entity.
I feel more comfortable here at wordpress.com, so I’m glad to be back.
I moved all of my past entries from my site over to here manually, so all the comments got left behind.
Oh well, it’s not too big of a deal. I’m just sad that I’ve lost all of the nice conversations I had with people. If there’s a way for me to transfer them, I’ll do it, but I’m not sure there is.
I’ve always said, even when I had my journal hosted on GJ, that I ultimately write for me and no one else. If someone reads and replies, that’s wonderful, but I don’t feed off of comments. I’d be perfectly fine if no one ever read this.
Personal blogging is a self-gratifying thing, I believe.
Cold Stone is the best!
My dad’s birthday celebration was great! He loved his ice cream cake, which we got from Cold Stone Creamery. That place seriously has the best ice cream. My dad’s cake was called Cake Batter Confetti — the middle one on the top row on this page. It was delicious! We (the family) also took him out to eat at his choice of restaurant, which ended up being a place that serves homemade country cooking. I stuffed myself way too full with food and cake, but oh, it was wonderful!
When we got home last night, we played a bunch of board games until we were too tired to continue. Then my brother and his girlfriend came over today to give my dad his present from them, and we played even more games. I think it’s safe to say that I’m all partied out right now.
I might not update much this week because I’ll be hanging out with Adam and Nikki, but I’ll try to post something when I get back from the concert on Friday. I’ll definitely be taking my camera, so you can expect pictures!
Being bored and random
I’m bored, so I’ve decided to update this little blog of mine.
The concert is less than a week away! Next Wednesday, Adam, Nikki, and I will be piling up in my car and driving all the way to Nashville to see my two favorite bands perform. I couldn’t be more excited! I also get to hang out with Nikki all next week, which makes me really happy.
I’ve decided to postpone looking for a job until after the concert. I don’t want to have to ask for a couple of days off right after I’m hired (we’ll be staying in Nashville for two days).
I played WoW tonight with Adam, Ace, and another guy from our guild. ‘Twas fun. We ran through Gnomeregon (pretty much just a big dungeon that you fight your way through while picking up all sorts of treasures, and then you fight a huge boss at the end) and I got a nice piece of armor that I’ve been wanting for a while.
Monday was my dad’s birthday, but he’s had to work this whole week, so we’re going to celebrate it this weekend. We’re planning to go out to eat and get him an ice cream cake. I’m sure he’ll like it — how could he not like ice cream cake?
Alright, I s’pose I’ll end this now. My life isn’t very exciting at the moment, but then again, is it ever?
Snow in April?
What happened to spring?! All of a sudden it’s freezing, and it actually snowed yesterday, more than it ever did during the winter! Luckily, it’s supposed to get warm again next week, but what the heck?
Happy Easter everyone! If you celebrate it, I hope you have a wonderful time with family. Later today I’ll be going to my grandmother’s house for dinner with the relatives.
I bought two bags of Cadbury Mini Eggs at the store and I plan to go back after Easter to see if there are any more on sale.
There are quite a few movies that I’d like to see at the theater right now. I want to see Bridge to Terabithia and TMNT (I still enjoy kids’ movies). Then there’s Blades of Glory, which came out recently. I’ve also heard loads of good things about 300, so I’ll have to see if it lives up to its reputation.
Alrighty, I’m off to check on my town in Animal Crossing! Oh, Adam got me a couple of DS games for free from his work. He got Elite Beat Agents and Yoshi’s Island DS. Just one of the many perks of working at a video game store or, in my case, dating someone who works there.
The same old thing
Hmm…I don’t have much of anything substantial to update about, but I felt like writing. Everything beyond this point will probably just be random blabber (isn’t that what blogs are for?).
I’ve hardly been working on my site at all lately. Then again, I’m hardly home. I’ve been spending far too much time at Adam’s place. I can’t help it, it’s fun over there! His roommates make for interesting conversation, and there’s usually some kind of gaming going on. Then there’s the obvious: I get to spend time with Adam. He works too much these days, so being with him is an extra special treat. I’ve been staying at his house even when he’s not there, though, which I suppose is okay as long as no one calls me a freeloader and kicks me out (and they shouldn’t because I’m not using their utilities or eating their food, and I usually go home to sleep). Sometimes I lug my computer over, but only for the purpose of playing WoW, not working on my site.
I’ll get to it eventually. I’m just taking a break.
Living the bum life
I need to go to the store before Easter is over and stock up on Cadbury Mini Eggs. I’m addicted to the things, and you can only find them around Easter time. Cadbury’s chocolate is delicious. I don’t know what they put in it to make it so rich and creamy, but I hope they never stop!
I failed to mention earlier that I recently put in my notice and quit my job. I quit for various reasons which I won’t get into here, but to put it simply, I wasn’t being treated fairly. Thus, I’m now an unemployed lazy bum…and I can’t stand it! While it’s certainly relaxing to sleep until noon and then play computer games for hours, my days seem wasted. I’m not accomplishing anything by just sitting around. Plus, having more free time means facing more boredom. At least when I was earning money I could make plans to see a movie or go shopping every now and then.
I’ll probably go to Target tomorrow to get a couple of things I need, namely a new toothbrush and some of those Cadbury Mini Eggs I mentioned (yes, I need them!). While I’m out, I think I’ll check around and see if I can turn in a few job applications. There’s a store here called Hobby Lobby that sells art supplies, crafts materials, home decor items, etc., and it seems like a good place for me. I go in there all the time to get stuff for crafts. I might try a bookstore too. I don’t know, I suppose I’ll just see what happens.
