It’s good to be back
I moved back to this blog from my site. I’m not too serious about web design right now. It’s just something I’m trying for fun, so I don’t want to make my blog — which I am serious about writing in and keeping up — an integral part of my site. Thus, I’ve decided to treat it as a separate entity.
I feel more comfortable here at wordpress.com, so I’m glad to be back.
I moved all of my past entries from my site over to here manually, so all the comments got left behind.
Oh well, it’s not too big of a deal. I’m just sad that I’ve lost all of the nice conversations I had with people. If there’s a way for me to transfer them, I’ll do it, but I’m not sure there is.
I’ve always said, even when I had my journal hosted on GJ, that I ultimately write for me and no one else. If someone reads and replies, that’s wonderful, but I don’t feed off of comments. I’d be perfectly fine if no one ever read this.
Personal blogging is a self-gratifying thing, I believe.
The same old thing
Hmm…I don’t have much of anything substantial to update about, but I felt like writing. Everything beyond this point will probably just be random blabber (isn’t that what blogs are for?).
I’ve hardly been working on my site at all lately. Then again, I’m hardly home. I’ve been spending far too much time at Adam’s place. I can’t help it, it’s fun over there! His roommates make for interesting conversation, and there’s usually some kind of gaming going on. Then there’s the obvious: I get to spend time with Adam. He works too much these days, so being with him is an extra special treat. I’ve been staying at his house even when he’s not there, though, which I suppose is okay as long as no one calls me a freeloader and kicks me out (and they shouldn’t because I’m not using their utilities or eating their food, and I usually go home to sleep). Sometimes I lug my computer over, but only for the purpose of playing WoW, not working on my site.
I’ll get to it eventually. I’m just taking a break.
Pictures!
WordPress is nice because, along with your blog, it gives you the ability to create pages, sub pages, and pretty much whatever content you want. It’s almost like having your own website. You can even customize the layouts and use HTML and CSS practically to your heart’s desire. Come to think of it, it sort of is like having your own site. For example, I’ve added a couple of pages filled with random nonsense to my “About Me” section. I’ve also added a “Links” section which includes a cute little button in case, for some crazy reason, anyone wants to link me.
Now, onto more interesting stuff. Pictures! Yay! First of all, here’s my new hair, complete with emo bangs.

Sorry about the cheesy grin. I’m too happy for emo bangs! I pushed them aside today, so they don’t cover my eye as much as they did right after I got them cut.
I might as well also show you the outfit I bought at Target recently. The quality of these photos is poor because I had to turn the flash off (I was too lazy to use the timer), but I’ve never claimed to be a good photographer anyway. I ended up buying a few basics: a red stretch shirt, a black cardigan, and straight-legged jeans.

There you go! You asked for it.
The history of Lethia
I fixed a couple of minor things about my blog, such as the timezone. It now matches my timezone here in the eastern US. I also changed my display name so that “Lethia” is capitalized. Like I said, minor things.
To give this post a point other than “I changed two things that you probably didn’t notice in the first place!”, I might as well explain my online nickname, Lethia.
It first came about when I decided to play the MMORPG World of Warcraft and I needed a name for my character. I thought back to all the video games I’d played in the past and Legend of Mana popped into my head. When I first played Legend of Mana, I used the built-in name generator for my character because I was eager to get started and I didn’t want to spend all day sitting there thinking up a decent name (sort of like I was doing with WoW). One of the generated names was Lethia and I liked it well enough. Thus, I used it for Legend of Mana, then again for World of Warcraft, and after that it just stuck.
I’ve since learned that it’s a real, although rare, name with Greek origin meaning “forgetfulness”, which is actually completely contradictory for me because I have a very good memory. I’m able to remember even the smallest details from an event that happened months or even years ago (much to Adam’s disappointment sometimes
). Oh well. I continue to use the nickname “Lethia” for every online game I play and every website I sign up for, and as far as know it’s pretty unique. I haven’t found anyone else on the internet who consistently goes by it. Works for me.
Now you know! In case you were wondering, which you probably weren’t.
Hello WordPress!
It’s time I pulled this blog out of the dust and started using it…
What will I write about? At this moment, I have no idea. I’m sort of iffy about the idea of blogging about my mundane life.
Yet WordPress beckons! It’s so smooth and clean and simple! I’m going to be spontaneous and just…see what happens! I might start posting here, or I might leave this blog to rot in the vast unused area of the internet. If I do start posting, who knows what the heck I’ll write about?! Most likely no one will see this except me, anyway.
