The Biggest (and Best) Lasagna

April 24, 2007 at 4:17 am (Friends, General)

I know I said I wouldn’t be updating much, but…well, I am.

I spent the day at Adam’s, as usual, except this time his mom and Nikki were there from New York. Nikki slaved over the stove all day making The Biggest Lasagna I’ve Ever Seen. I’m not exaggerating, it was huge. She used two large boxes of noodles and it ended up being eight layers thick. :o She also made the sauce herself, and she put pepperoni in it. It was amazing! Everyone in the house dug in, and we all sat in the living room enjoying the food and talking about anything and everything. The aroma of the lasagna even lured Andrew the Hermit out of his cave (He lives in a furnished room in the garage, separate from the rest of the house. He’s also a WoW addict. Thus, we don’t see him very often.).

There was tons left over, so I’ll probably be eating lasagna all week, heh.

I’m so excited about the concert, I can’t believe it’s only a day away! Nikki and I kept talking about how great it’s going to be, and she even got the set list off the internet. Adam didn’t want to see it because he says he wants to be surprised. :P I’m also excited about the trip there, for some odd reason. I guess I just really enjoy road trips. I’ve gone on a couple with my sister before and they’ve always been a blast. Being able to just drive freely, hang out with people you’re close to, and see new sights is fun and refreshing. It gives you a chance to relish life for a while.

What’s not fun about road trips, though, is paying for gas…

Being bored and random

April 19, 2007 at 4:10 am (Family, Friends, Gaming, General)

I’m bored, so I’ve decided to update this little blog of mine.

The concert is less than a week away! Next Wednesday, Adam, Nikki, and I will be piling up in my car and driving all the way to Nashville to see my two favorite bands perform. I couldn’t be more excited! I also get to hang out with Nikki all next week, which makes me really happy.

I’ve decided to postpone looking for a job until after the concert. I don’t want to have to ask for a couple of days off right after I’m hired (we’ll be staying in Nashville for two days).

I played WoW tonight with Adam, Ace, and another guy from our guild. ‘Twas fun. We ran through Gnomeregon (pretty much just a big dungeon that you fight your way through while picking up all sorts of treasures, and then you fight a huge boss at the end) and I got a nice piece of armor that I’ve been wanting for a while.

Monday was my dad’s birthday, but he’s had to work this whole week, so we’re going to celebrate it this weekend. We’re planning to go out to eat and get him an ice cream cake. I’m sure he’ll like it — how could he not like ice cream cake? ;)

Alright, I s’pose I’ll end this now. My life isn’t very exciting at the moment, but then again, is it ever?

Loneliness

March 13, 2007 at 1:41 am (Friends, General, Thoughts)

I love hanging out with Adam, I really do. He’s my boyfriend and best friend in one, and we get along so well it’s scary sometimes. However, lately I feel like I need more female companionship. I need someone to squeal and giggle with. Boys don’t squeal and giggle all that much…

I miss Nikki. She’s my closest friend, aside from Adam. We connect with each other so well that at times we know exactly what the other is thinking, which leads us to finish each other’s sentences. Unfortunately, she lives all the way in New York. :( I haven’t seen her in forever, but she’s coming here next month to go to the MCR/Muse concert with me. I can’t wait! I’m counting down the days ’till the concert, not only because of the bands, but also because I miss my friend.

In other news, I had my hair dyed and cut today. Just so you know, the picture on my “About Me” page is from last year when my hair was short and blonde. I should probably replace it with a more recent one, but it’s one of the few pictures I like of myself and I haven’t changed all that much since then…aside from my hair. It has since grown to below my shoulders and been dyed auburn. Now it’s brown with blonde streaks, layered, and featuring brand new emo-ish bangs that cover one of my eyes most of the time. Not sure how much I like the emo-ishness, but since I listen to some emo music nowadays I might as well have the haircut, right? ;) I may post a picture soon, but for now I’ll let you try to imagine it.
